傢俱愛好者可能熟悉美國Knoll跟Herman Miller兩個名牌…沒有聽過公司英文名字也應該認識跟兩家配合的大師, 比如: Mies van der Rohe (密斯•凡德羅根) 或 Charles & Ray Eames (伊姆斯). 今天想要介紹第三個美國傢俱品牌, 也是一家很有歷史的公司, 可是比較沒有國際上的名氣.

                   對喜歡頂級北歐傢俱的人來說, 可能聽過DUX 這個品牌, 但對它的產品跟公司背景不是很清楚…其中一個原因是因為其實有兩間DUX 公司, 一個在美國, 另一個在瑞典. 雖然是兩間不同的公司, 但他們不是沒有關係的.

There is often confusion among collectors regarding the historical background of furniture produced by DUX…this is because there are actually two different DUX furniture companies, with one based in Sweden and the other in the United States. Though the two are separate companies, they are not entirely unrelated to each other.

Brasilia 傢俱系列是在1962年的西雅圖世界博覽會推出。雖然廠商是美國 Broyhill 公司，但巴西利亞系列是代表巴西國家。這是因為巴西首都的獨特結構啟發了Brasilia傢俱系列的設計。
